If you are looking for a historic wedding venue near Rochester, NY look no further! The Farmer’s Creekside Tavern was constructed in the 1820s. It was one of the first buildings in the city. This location has an extensive history, it has served as a hat factory as well as the home of Senator Percy Hooker.
Additionally, during the renovation the original stone and timber were uncovered. Luckily it was able to be left exposed. There are beautiful dark hued wood floors and accent walls made of red brick scattered throughout the venue highlighting its historic roots as well as elegant molding offering a sophisticated touch. These historic details of the building give couples a ‘barn wedding’ feel but have the amenities of a contemporary restaurant.
Moreover, the Farmers Creekside Tavern overlooks the historic Oatka Creek giving the venue romantic waterfront charm. This is a great spot for gorgeous wedding portraits. This venue also offers a number of spaces, both inside and out, for celebrating your wedding. Inside the venue you can dine in either the Gomborone or Cleveland room. When dining at the Farmers Creekside Tavern you can expect to go on a culinary journey with multiple courses featuring an array of flavors. For outdoor events, there are two decks and a patio. This venue can host between 20-100 people to accommodate weddings of every size. To ensure that your wedding goes smoothly setup and cleanup are included. Additionally, event coordination is included in your contract too.
Nicole and Anthony’s wedding was absolutely stunning – it was contemporary and modern full of warm colors. Thy had an awesome celebration and so many amazing moments. Not to mention that Nicole and Anthony are two hot babes! This wedding was definitely one for the books. Nicole and Anthony were surrounded by all of their closest friends and family members.
These two cuties were 1 of 3 couples who booked me within a friend circle. It was so fun getting to photograph her friends’ weddings and seeing them at Nicole’s wedding. It made the bridal party photos super fun and we also got to go to multiple locations to photograph the bridal party too. I loved how Nicole picked her bridesmaids colors and that their dresses were all mismatched. The getting ready photos were so much fun. The girls celebrated by toasting with champagne in matching pj sets. Nicole ended up doing a first look with her girls and the moms! It was so cute and super emotional.
I never get a chance to photograph the grooms getting ready photos, but I was able to photograph Anthony with some extra time I had and I absolutely loved the way they came out. They were super elegant looking with the historic features of the room. Afterwards, Nicole did a first look with the important male figures in her life and then had a first look with Anthony. It was super sweet and they shared private vows.
They had their ceremony on the deck of the venue which had a gorgeous arbor that was super unique and decorated with florals. Nicole and Anthony had their first dance on the deck surrounded by their friends and family that were holding sparklers. They ended the night with a mother-son dance and mother-daughter dance followed by speeches from some friends, a cake cutting, and a dance party.
